Hi, I'm Kat Murphy! :)

I am a New York City-based actor, singer, dancer, and model originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. After earning my Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from Victoria Bussert's last class at Baldwin Wallace University, I relocated to NYC to pursue a career in film, television, theater, and commercial work.

As a performer, I am drawn to stories that connect people, spark conversation, and leave a lasting impact. Whether I'm on stage, in front of the camera, or creating content online, I bring curiosity, authenticity, and a strong work ethic to every project.

When I'm not performing, you can find me exploring New York City, teaching private voice and piano lessons, nannying children in the UWS, and sharing my journey as a young artist building a career in the entertainment industry.

ABOUT ME

Training... Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater from Baldwin Wallace University, Graduated May 2025, woohoo!

Studied abroad with The Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2024. Since Moving to NYC, I have

taken various acting classes with The Barrow Group to continue my training.

Updates... I made my TV debut as costar, Kinski, in Episode 9, "Blood Money," of CBS's new crime drama drama spin-off series, "CIA." I had the pleasure of working with lead, Tom Ellis, Director, Ludovig Littee, and the entire team of "CIA". Check back in soon for footage! ;)

My love for the arts came about... because I was always the kid who would

involuntarily sing, so my mom placed me in after school theater classes, where

the dream of becoming a professional performer blossomed. My love for

theater deepened after the passing of my dad to suicide when I found support,

compassion, and love in the community of artists around me. I went to the Las

Vegas Academy of the Arts for high school and followed my intuition of my artistic

desires and passion to Baldwin Wallace University and beyond!

As a performer... I want to inspire others that they are not alone by telling my story and the story

of others who have gone through great losses. I want to make people feel loved, connectedness, and joy

through the medium that brings all of those back to me.

When I am not on stage... I am modeling in the studio or the world around me, reading lots of books (I love dystopian and self help books the most!), taking care of my body through good food, physical training, dancing, yoga, and pilates, painting and drawing (I love creating murals and ceramics), building meaningful relationships and connections, and catching up on the latest tv series. I am currently rewatching Archive 81 on Netflix!
